PKM - My Personal Reality of it all
I'm not going to list off all of the Diagnoses TM I have, here. I'm just going to state it plainly: I do wish I could be organized and have all my notes be perfectly filed away in a zettelkasten network where each note is evergreen and it all comes together nicely. -- But that's not where I'm at, not now, maybe someday, but not now.
So, until now, this has been the process:
- regularly brain dump or quick-jot things in a wide variety of places: ** Phone notes app, pocket notebook, journals, txt documents saved haphazardly on my computer, random journals and notepads . . .
- Never return to them, and either forget them or have them fade into background knowledge which I randomly rediscover and think 'hey, I was onto something with that'
My Goal is to add more steps in between the brain dumping, and the never returning to them (and ideally reach a point with 80% of my recorded thoughts, that 'never returning to them' isn't a step at all). In theory, I could set a date each month where I go through all of these various sources of knowledge, and compile stuff. But imposed routine, even self-imposed, is my own personal nemesis.
I think my current plan is to just... wild west it, keep braindumping wherever it's convenient at the time, and do the same with sifting through everything.
